A large group of students came together on a Saturday to plant Spring vegetables at the UTD Eco Hub. This “micro farm”, on the site of a former compost heap, is a student-led effort that helps Comets learn about crop rotation, organic framing techniques and related sustainability topics. Food grown at this facility is sent to the Comet Cupboard, where it contributes to alleviating food insecurity in our community.
