Texas Instruments Biomedical Engineering & Sciences Building

Researchers and faculty from both UT Dallas and UT Southwestern work together at the Texas Instruments Biomedical Engineering & Sciences Building (TI-BMES [Texas Instruments Biomedical Engineering & Sciences Building] ) to convert cutting-edge medical technologies into clinical applications, where four of the building’s five floors are dedicated to research laboratories. TI-BMES is also the home of the University’s Fabrication and Biodesign Center, a place for rapidly prototyping experimental medical equipment. The rest of the 150,000-square-foot facility is dedicated to classrooms, conference rooms and offices, some of which open out to the central courtyard.
