A miniature forest of young trees has been planted along the banks of Cottonwood Creek between Callier Center Richardson and the Natural Science and Engineering Research Lab. The third phase of the Campus Landscape Enhancement Project, of which this is a part, is adding 1,220 trees of various species to UT Dallas, including Cedar Elm, Crape Myrtle, Mexican Sycamore, Mexican Plum, Bur Oak, Live Oak, Shumard Oak, Pecan, Pond Cypress and Red Bud.
