F&ED This Week

June 28, 2021

A tree-shaded space between two buildings containing bare earth and several large rocks mounted on iron pillars.

Landscaping work continues on the UTD Rock Garden, at the east end of the Geology Corridor between the Founders Building and Founders North. The first of this garden’s geologic specimens were gifted to the University in 1993, and the collection includes samples of some of the earliest known rocks in the United States. The new garden promises to be a stunning setting in which to study the collection.
