Officials from UT System met with UTD President Dr. Richard C. Benson and other Comets at the ECSW [Engineering and Computer Science West\ Axxess Atrium to present the University with its first funds from the Promise+ program. The $1.5M check will go towards increasing UT Dallas’ ability to offer free full tuition to a greater number of qualifying Texas residents. This program is based on a similar effort started at UT Austin in 2019, and will use the power of a newly-created endowment to distribute funds to seven different University of Texas institutions every year for this purpose.
