Leaders from local business, economic development and education came together last week at the UT Dallas 4th Annual Economic Development Summit to consider how North Texas can become a leader in “onshoring” key industries, how to build bridges between industry and academia, and resources that the University can offer as a neutral partner to advance the region. North Texas’ unique strengths in multiple cutting-edge fields including semiconductors, biotech and artificial intelligence were discussed, as well as how to nurture and promote them.
