Athenaeum Beam Signing

An important milestone for the first phase of the Edith and Peter O’Donnell Jr. Athenaeum was celebrated by the construction team and UT Dallas officials when they signed what would become the building’s top roof beam just before it was raised into position. This facility is the beginning of a complex intended to mount live events, provide more space to study and display the University’s growing art collection, and promises to become a magnet for culture in North Texas. The unique structure, which will look unlike anything else on campus, is expected to open in 2024.
