In another partnership with the City of Richardson, the University created a detention pond in the southwest section of campus, near Campbell Road and Waterview Parkway. This new landscape feature is designed to hold in storm water from heavy rainfalls. If all goes as planned, our neighbors to the south should experience a lot less flooding the next time a big rainstorm comes to North Texas.
