On Saturday, February 22, the Office of Facilities & Economic Development invited University faculty, staff and our next door neighbors to celebrate the unique UTD “Town & Gown” relationship at Community Appreciation Day. Guests enjoyed high-end tailgate food between the women’s and men’s Comets basketball games, where they got to cheer on our teams as UT Dallas took on the Hardin-Simmons Cowboys and Cowgirls. During each game’s halftime, University and City or Richardson officials took time to praise the camaraderie and the many collaborations which have helped UTD and Richardson thrive together.
