A commuter rail station in the last stages of construction. Stone pillars bearing the “UTD” logo raise a metal roof above bench seats, while a tall, thin metal and glass sign at the end of the structure reads “DART. UT Dallas”.

With each passing day, the UT Dallas station on the DART [Dallas Area Rapid Transit] Silver Line gets closer to becoming a reality. Trains are now making test runs along what will eventually become a 26-mile-long commuter rail line from Shiloh Road in Plano to Terminal B in DFW Airport. When it comes into service, the station will connect UTD with seven North Texas cities and four other light rail lines.
